Tradeweld E316L-16 is a low carbon rutile steel electrode.
Easy to weld in all positions (except vertical down).
The smooth arc transfer characteristics leaves low spatter
levels, excellent bead shape and good slag removal.
Applications for Tradeweld E316L-16 include the single
and multi-pass welding of matching molybdenum content
bearing stainless steel such as 301, 302, 303, 304, and
304L types.
The 2.5% molybdenum content gives an
increased resistance to pitting, corrosion & raises the creep
strength for higher temperatures applications.
