Dehorning wire is a stainless-steel saw wire
used to surgically remove mature horns from
adult cattle, sheep, and goats, or to
perform an embryotomy on a dead fetus.
It is attached to special handles and
used like a saw to cut through the horn
base, often as close to the skull as possible,
as an alternative to tools that may not fit mature horns.
