“Wider” implies that the offset is greater (i.e. it offsets farther laterally) compared to the standard offset version (code 2940). This would be useful when the inlet/outlet pipes are not well aligned and a larger lateral shift is needed.
Because the length and height are both 66.22 mm, it is a moderate-length offset—longer than the standard offset but shorter than the extended version (2940L) which is ~104.66 mm.

It allows conversion or adaptation between ½″ and ¾″ threaded plumbing interfaces, while providing extra “play” for alignment mismatches.
It is a “concentric” offset, meaning the cross-sectional flow path is smoothly transitioned (rather than eccentric where one side is flush) — though “concentric offset” is a bit of a hybrid term (normally offset is eccentric). In this context “contr offset” is Splashworks’ naming for their offset connector line.
