Material: PVCu (rigid PVC), which offers corrosion resistance and lightweight compared to metal versions. For example, one supplier shows a PVC backnut thread-in model.
Size / Thread: ½″ (nominal). “dm” in your notation appears to mean “diameter / dimension” but this is simply the ½″ standard size.
Flats: The nut has flat faces around the body so you can use a wrench/spanner.
Use case: Typically used behind a wall, basin, tank or fixture to secure the inlet shank or connection, providing a lock-nut function and sealing (if used with washer).
Surface finish / appearance: Often plain white or natural PVC colour (depending on brand).
Manufacturing standard: At least one manufacturer lists its backnuts as manufactured to European standards and made of high-quality PVC.
