All single phase Franklin submersible motors sold by FESA are formatted capacitor start/induction run (three wire) operation.
This means unbeatable starting torque which is ideally suited for the conditions found in boreholes in South Africa.
Motors rated at 1.1kW, 1.5kW and 2.2kW have run (phase angle correction) capacitors fitted to minimise the operating current of the motor.
Each control box is also fitted with a voltage sensitive relay which opens the circuit to the start winding once the motor has started.
IT IS ESSENTAIL THAT THE START, RUN AND COMMON WIRES TO THE MOTOR ARE SEQUENCED CORRECTLY
