    The lever arm on a Beta float valve is the bar that links the float ball to the valve plunger — its movement opens and closes the valve as water level changes.
    These replacement arms are usually plastic and sized to fit Beta‑type inlet valves, so they’re handy if the old arm has snapped or become too warped to operate correctly.
    It’s generally a straight swap: remove the old arm from the valve mechanism inside the cistern and clip the new one in place — make sure the float and pin are connected properly after installation.
